About us

The Forest of Dean Climate Action Partnership (FODCAP) brings people together to respond in practical, fair and locally led ways.

We are a partnership of local people, businesses and organisations.
We work together to:

  • Take effective climate and nature action

  • Prepare for change

  • Make sure local people have a real say in the decisions that affect them

We act as a hub, bringing people together to make climate and nature action in the Forest of Dean more effective, inclusive, and connected.

We do this by working on the issues that local people care about, such as warm homes, better public transport, and affordable local food.

The Forest of Dean is a special place. But climate change and nature loss are already affecting our landscapes, homes and livelihoods.

Our team

Our partnership brings together many different people from across the Forest of Dean. We are governed by a steering group made up of Forest-based organisations, businesses, and local public services, and have a small, committed staff team.

Our background

FODCAP took off in earnest in 2022 following the Covid-19 pandemic as an independent partnership to help coordinate and grow climate action across the District.
